Students are provided with various opportunities to practice their public speaking skills.  Each year, the students put on a dessert theater production.  In years past, the speech class has performed plays such as The Importance of Being Ernest, Arsenic and Old Lace, Our Town, and Cheaper by the Dozen.  Students in 4th-10th grades have the opportunity to prepare speeches for fine arts competition with other ODACS schools.  Students can select speeches from various categories including, humorous and dramatic interpretation, duet acting, interpretation of poetry, religious reading, and declamation.
